CONSTRUCTIVE criticism please!!

         

perhaps the best thing to be said that it's a mixed bag. the graininess needn't translate into such slowness, though. the notes... couldn't figure out whether that was intended to be a comment on the death cab video. moreover, with a track this uninspired, really the last thing you want to do is show it's computer-generated... the garbage can was also really not much of a killer ending.

oh, and: you do know it's illegal to photograph the cloud sculpture?

         

thanks progosk! about the cloud sculpture- i can understand, but there were tons of tourists snapping photos, and i wandered around the security-filled park with my camera and not a word was said..

         

Had some nice moments, that interesting lighting when working with inexpensive stock. Nice to see a fellow Chicagoan. Couple of things that I noticed:

• The typography is horrible in the opening. Flowery fonts like that never look good, and the drop shadow you're adding makes it worse. There's a rule that, if you're going for handwritten, don't waste your time with fonts. You've got hands. Write it yourself! Then shoot it or scan it.

• When you're combining the two shots, like on the bridge where one side of cars is fast, the other side slow, your splits down the middle are really obvious. Spend some time with that. Feather the edges a little at least.
