DJ Shadow & Keek da Sneek & Turf Talk "3 Freaks" dir. Mickey Finnegan
Surprisingly mainstream vid from the Shadow
In reponse to 'isn't it a little petty to post videos you think suck'..
As with the musvid show I produced, I think it's good to just let ppl know that there's a vid out there for an album or artist that is good, within reason.. In this case, the vid is pretty clichéd, but DJ Shadow makes good music.
wow that's a pretty bad rap video. Are they looking to D12 for inspiration?
What ever happened to 99 Problems? After I saw that, I figured it would become this new benchmark that every hip-hop artist would try to emulate. Now I'm convinced it didn't make a blip to anyone but indie rockers and music critics.
this video is just bad. if you are just starting out in the business and want to make a name for yourself and be recognized, why not make creative videos with original concepts. this just looks like you were copying every other rap video and trying to get up to the level of mainstream stuff (which i like, dont get me wrong). but even in copying mainstream videos, it just falls flat because it looks cheap.
Yikes. Shadow, what happened? DJ Shadow would talk incessantly about how Busta Rhymes turned his back on hip-hop by going mainstream. Listen to your own words, Shadow.
I guess everybody's got to eat.
captain: here's what happened to 99 problems - it got mashed with with weezer...
