[Repost] Modest Mouse - Ocean Breathes Salty (dir: Chris Milk)
By popular demand... :D
Or, in a window:
still wonderful, it was worth a repost. would be the time for new album, "good news for people who love bad news" is already long ago it feels. one of the best album-titles ever, actually ...
What do you guys like about this? just curious. Sometimes I really don't get peoples taste on this site, but it seems to be fairly representative of the US industry no?
Personally I felt the video was pretty much completely uninteresting. The photography wasn't especially well done, concept is pretentious and badly executed. And it seems to take itself seriously... which is ridiculous.
captures that romanticised childhood-in-retrospect thing pretty well. (a bit like these "kids who don't smile" do, albeit differently.)
i liked the phytophotography, and camera agility (though chris took it to another level in his audioslave reworking of some of these themes).
Wow, this is such a cheesy promo...Felt like I was browsing through Getty images for 4 minutes.
Beautiful, and captures the song perfectly. Still love it.
It's the story of a lonely kid who tries to save the lives of injured animals. Since he apparently has no father, and no friends, he fantasizes about possible friendships with these pets. But in the end, it's just not enough and he goes through the ritual of a burial. It's sweet and sad all at the same time. No, this is not your typical music video, nor is it for the daft minded.
