Has anyone seen TheTube (www.thetubetv.com) on their digitial TV (DTV) in United States/U.S.? For me in Los Angeles, CA, I get it on channel KTLA 5.5/31. It's like old MTV -- all music videos. No stupid hosts, reality shows, etc. Also, it is free if you have an antenna and a DTV tuner.

Any idea what their programming is like? By all of the promos, it looks like most of the videos are very old. I’d run out and get HD tomorrow if I knew that most of the videos were new and not the stuff played on MTV. What little video action they have. My thanks got out to everyone posting on ANTVILLE.

I have seen many old ones like from 80s, live performance, music videos, etc. I even saw a recent Bon Jovi's and ColdPlay music videos last night. I think they show more old ones than newer ones.

I have not seen any rap, hip hop, dance, trance, etc.

I worked on some of the original promos for that channel a while back. Check them out on my site. I know that it was started by some of the same people that started MTV.

How does The Tube compare to VH1 Classic? Nice Saul & Ben Lee vids, brunx, btw.

kevathens: I don't think I ever watched VH1 Classic or maybe I don't remember it. I assume it is the same idea, but free if you have DTV and over the antenna. I think cable/satellite are supposed to come with it or something (check the Web site).
