Zero 7's "Throw It All Away" - Matt Lenski & Click 3X
Zero 7's latest single from The Garden, "Throw It All Away" debuted on top of the charts in the U.K. and now with this unique video it's set to make a splash here in the States. The video, directed by Matt Lenski, with effects by Click 3X was shot entirely with digital still cameras. Over 8,000 frames were cut together by the editorial team at Click to create the final piece. Check it out: (Quicktime/320x240/6.6Mb)
Liz Phair did the still photos as video years ago. A bit better imho
is it me or are there at least half a dozen things wrong with this video?
Is like something on a BBC schools tv programme in 1978. And not in a good way.
And Chris Marker was there years before..... but I don't think this is a bad video by any means. It deals with fashion, consensus, success and obsolescence and is pretty watchable imho.
I guess the digital stills technique allows you to get into and out of locations much quicker and increases the scope for the budget, although I can't help wondering if it might not have been stronger filmed.
i didn't dislike it.. but i agree with ben, twould have been stronger as live action..
It's simply a different way to do the stills technique. I don't think it's any worse.
Ignore the video before the shopping cart; the beginning is off-putting. After that, I like it!
Cam Archer has a fine feathered alternative.
Cam's: nice ending, overall pretty interesting, fascinating subject.
