Ugh. It's like a mix of the original video with Pearl Jam's "Do the Evolution", but without the irony or cynism of any of them.

I'm not a big fan of Genesis, but I certainly prefer the original version and it's video: www.youtube.com

It's not even moody. The original was possibly the first video I can remember seeing and liking. This is such a downgrade in craftsmanship. It also makes Disturbed seem like they could have existed entirely within an 80's cartoon. Not sure if that is good or bad for them.

Also, this video blames the world's fucked-up-ness on some vague fascist evil; "Do The Evolution" puts the blame on ourselves and stupid human nature.

i dont know what to say,an awful lot of work for a piece of shit track like that. true genesis rock...kind of like the visuals though, althoug sick of nazi-style symbolism...

A good example of when comic book culture takes itself to seriously and tries to get involved with real world events. Simple, polemic and easily digestible with the usual quota of ethnically correct "ordinary people" and characters who look like they walked in from MASK or GiJoe episodes. Lots of reused takes (did they think we wouldn’t notice) and running stuff backwards? now your just getting cheap. Although interesting to watch with the "bombing of Germany film run backwards" scene from Slaughterhouse Five in mind.
