Behind the scenes look at Beck "Cell Phone's Dead" Dir: Michel Gondry
What kind of wackiness is Michel up to this time?
blah blah Gondry worship etc.
No way! I got to read the treatment. Personally I'm soo excited about this video, those pix really puts some nice feelings in me. For me it all depends on how it's executed.. I'll comment more on my news page in a lil bit..
aww that's neat they're good friends. I admit "Deadweight" isn't my favorite Gondry (or Beck) video by a longshot.
some mo tidbits:
Beck sang a song on the Eternal Sunshine soundtrack.
Beck cameoed in the White Stripes "Hardest Button" video.
and didn't Gondry take the collage photos for the inside of Midnite Vultures?
This one's shot by Shawn Kim. That kid's really pushing!
By the way, I think Interscope is being super-duper tricky. I don't think there's any mistake that Cell Phone's Dead (mp3) was posted for a split second, neither the Think I'm in Love vid that was up for likewise a very short time. I'm not terribly cynical, but for it to happen twice is a bit odd - it's a very interesting strategy.
damn it. now i regret not downloading "cell phone's dead" when i had the chance.
The video looks so cool But i'm not gonna raise my expectations to a level where i know they wont be met. So just patiently waiting now.....
cell phone mp3:
weird. you could view the Think I'm In Love video at beck.com. It's been removed. It was boring as well as the single. Definitely not for the first promo of the new album. Do you think it's some sort of strategy? For who? Only Beck fans knew about this. They don't need any strategy I guess..
