Yunyu - Lenore's Song (dir Tahnee McGuire 2006)
Creepy stop motion video shot entirely with over 16,000 digital photos. No video camera was used in the making of this clip.
Lenore's Song is Yunyu's reply to Edgar Allan Poe's The Raven.
Yunyu even writes about the making of it in her blog (read from bottom up):
I like Stopmo Videos, must be pretty dam hard to sync a live person with lyrics in stop mo. even more so on a digital camera because you dont have play back on it, but it pretty good in some parts.
i liked the bit at the end where she is in the poster on the road side.
nice clip.. very bjork.
It's easy as to sync on a stills cam.. you just need an ipod and speakers. The still they shot was most likely 8frames per sec. Cue up the right parts of the song and badang!!
Agreed. Yunyu actually slowed down the song by 4 times and then sang along to it (via a PowerBook). The real challenge was getting the pictures to appear to sing back with her at the same time and in the same frame. Now that involved a bit of maths.
