'Every video ever created' on Youtube
Within 18 months they say they'll have every video ever created on their site (with ads): news.bbc.co.uk Could become the ultimate music video resource?
A fantastic start - upping video quality is next. Having every music video ever created is a nice PR statement. I'll believe it when I see, say, Shizuo "New Kick", or nine inch nails "every day is exactly the same", or um, Eddie Murphy/Michael Jackson "Whatzupwitu." Whoops, too late.
more here:
Okay. Test run. Here's a nice rare vid for ya: GnR "You Could Be Mine"
Here's another one someone here at work asked me about: Power Station "Some Like it Hot"
I've got three music vids that I'm searching for a few years now. vids I saw on mtv's 120 minutes or alternative nation in the early nineties:
miranda sex garden - sunshine the frank & walters - fashion crisis hits new york sidi bou said - twilight eyes
when these got posted I will be vEry happy! oh, and a better quality version of Man Parrish - bebop don't stop would be nice
All the music videos at a quarter the quality. Great.
youtube is horrible. go quicktime.
before planning to put every video on there they should work on synching sound to picture. that would be nice.
Oh my god Kev! Wuzzupwitu!!! Im dying!!!
Yeah, Wayne Isham 1-upping/stealing Jim Blashfield's Sowing the Seeds of Love. Both were Breakthrough Videos on MTV, even though Blashfield already made his 'breakthrough' with Talking Heads "And She Was". They both kinda have that hippie-consciousness vibe that was a trend in mv from 1989 to around 1993 - hell, Whatzupwitu probably put the last nail in the coffin. I'm not sure it worked for Eddie. ..or Michael.
"Buzzkill" from a band called The Stacy Effect is an early and RARE video from the now famous Dougal Wilson. Let's see if they could catch that one
