Cobra Starship - Snakes on a Plane (Bring It) (Director: Lex Halaby)
A music video and song dedicated to the new movie, "Snakes on a Plane", that is catchy and features some people from major bands = a big hit.
Pete Wentz from Fall Out Boy makes a guest appearence.yeh that stings!
she really want to be fergie from black eyed poos, no? also, did she used to be a man?
This is middle-class rock. But the guest appearance of Pete is spectacular.
The song is awful, but unlike the movie, it's not self-conciously awful, which makes it a confusing companion to the movie. Is it intended to be a crappy emo song so that people can make fun of it and pretend to enjoy it in an ironic way? Are the performers in on the joke, the same way that the movie knowingly laughs along with the audience? The whole thing makes me feel bad for the artists involved, because I think they understand that the Snakes On A Plane movie is funny, but they aren't sure why, and so their song is stuck somewhere between irony and passive sincerity.
Horrible video, poor lens choices, bland art direction, flat lighting, and atrocious styling, was all of this the point?
Come on, wheres the love? The song is awesome, and Maja is hot.
I'm getting so confused with this site. Are people just posting thing because they want exposure? How can anyone think this is a great video? It's not interesting in the least. -j
lex hit the jackpot with this. Probably the first time ever that a music video has been shown in its entirety at the end of a film. Hows that for exposure.....
I like it too seja_8....
A very unique and confusing video. The catchy, and confusing, song and mfkn snakes make this a potentially big hit, I agree with pizza. The Sounds - Song With a Mission isn't remotely emo.
Another interesting footnote in pop video history, but I prefer the brain to the plane.
AAAAHAHAHA. Me & my friend saw this during that credits of "Snakes On a Plane". We laughed through the whole damn thing. And.... really... I know the purpose of this site is to analyze videos, but are you fucking serious?
this guy made a really great video for atmosphere a few years back. check it www.youtube.com
"features some people from major bands"
so are you saying that the guy who had a shot of his penis posted on the internet and is in some band that i don't know the name of but i know they jump around a lot and think they are punk is something major? where was i when music died?
how was that for a run-on sentence?
I cannot believe you people. First of all, a constructive critique and the tearing down of another artist are two things far dissimilar. Secondly, who on here has anything of higher quality to show for their efforts. The song is good. It is catchy, it has a relevant theme to the context which it is in, and it is musically well thought out. The video itself, though I agree, the lighting is less big budget than many would prefer, it is still a well done video. So, til you can provide the art world with something of substance, keep your bullshit criticism down to just your opinions. Who gave you the right to tear down other artists?
Oh yeah, and Breakitdown, just because you apparently live under a rock in some godforsaken shit-hole and have not heard the media hype or the music of Fall Out Boy, doesnt mean you have some elivated opinion. Fall Out Boy is by no means my favorite band, but as a fellow artist I respect what they have achieved. Pull your head out of your ass and act like an adult.
Not to be blunt, "Otis", but you're a big blubbering vagina. First of all, when you said, "keep your bullshit criticism down to just your opinions", maybe I'm mistaken but their "bullshit criticism" are their opinions. You further go on to ask who gave them the right to tear down artists. It was the fucking government when they made up a law about free speech. One of facets of the internet is that you can say whatever you want. Ebert and Roeper criticize movies for a living, not because they can produce a motion picture that makes everything else look like dog vomit, but because they can (and they're paid for it). Just because you're a "fellow artist", that got pissed off at people posting what they thought on a webpage, doesn't mean you should scold them like an eight year-old that swore in the church Christmas Pageant. Why don't you take a midol and some of your own advice? Pull you head out of your ass and act like an adult.
