Destiny's Child - "Soldier" - Dir. Ray Kay

Huh?
If anything, Bernard Gourley's the upcoming rap vid director that should get antville love (Tell Me When to Go, Grammy Family, Stay Fly)
Sweet links Kev. The "Tell Me When to Go" vid's killer. -j
Yeah the tell when to go video is awesome. I love the writhing bodies part at the end. Stay Fly is also pretty good although it loses momentum at the end. As for the Destiny's Child video, tasteful and technically excellent but kind of boring.
the song is so stupid, that the video really don't matter. destinys child were the first sexistic girl band. a shame on then for this song.
It probably deserves a postin' ov its own does 'Tell Me When to Go' But I don't get the connection?
The DC number is jus' dancehall I can't see thats its meant to be anything else? Dis is a tune that gets people onto the dance floor
Lyrics yes well...it ain't Shelly or Keats!
'Tell We When To Go' may have better a better lyrical composition and visuals However I venture to suggest its a tad turgid on cuttin' the rug!
I'm sure that the tune is a fleshed out Studio One rydim I know Cham has dun a cut to it 'n I'm positive that there is another cut that I've seen the PV to also Still its too late! I can't be saved I bought the enhanced CD months ago
The song doesn't appeal to me, and I find the video as intimidating as it is interesting (i.e. a little).
I just think that, if you're going to make a shtreet hip hop vid, this is the way to do it: all satellite attitude around a star (or stars, in this case), attentively filmed.
I see a not-so-fine line between this and the 'Yo, check it, I've just found a new euphemism for my wedge and a new adjective to describe its size. Lets do another version of the generic hip hop video so we can give them a run-out' approach.
(By the way, I'm talking about Soldier here, not Gourley's back catalogue)
