Give up the VMAs as an accurate mv gauge. Our relationship ends today, unless they don't let the fans vote next time. I browsed thru all the videos added to MTV over the entire year, and think that "overall, looking at all the eligible vids, it's clear how this wasn't a very unifying, star-making, or great year for MTV/popular videos." Not only did they not rotate that many outstanding videos this year, but they let the fans decide. This was the most populist MTV VMAs ever, aka the most watered-down.

It's called convergence. Get used to it.
