The quality of youtube is so bad that I can't really tell whether the girls in the video are the Pipettes, or my grandmother with a pair of friends. I love the song, though.

Out of interest, who was the first person to do moving image as a comic strip? It does seem pretty hackneyed, but I'd be interested to know whre it first came from.

In terms of other vids employing this style to better ends... the classic is The Only Ones 'Another Girl Another Planet'- A John Peel favourite and a video I saw on Channel 4's The White Room years ago.
The track recently was recently perverted by an ad for Vodafone in the UK (nice one MH!...mate, never use good songs in ads!) There used to be an online version of this video, but I can't find it now for love nor money...
