Colleen Babies Video.
Colleen Babies video, directed by Luke Seomore, Joseph Bull.
Enjoy:
Mark Kermode, probably the UK's most prominent film critic at the moment, wrote a piece in Sunday's Observer Review about what constitutes a film - that is, what one should expect to see in a theatre as opposed to an art museum or on a TV screen.
I don't really want to open up yet abother thread along the lines of 'hey, I can watch it, it's got music, what's the issue?' but this strange, evocative short belongs in a gallery, along with works by Bill Viola or Sam Taylor-Wood etc. A music video it ain't.
poor positivism, always eager to crawl under a nominalist's sheets.
what say you to t'other colleen, erm, audiovisual short?
Much the same, although I thought the clunky stop-animated collage effect was even less suited to the overlaid, polyphonic effect of the track. I do like the art on her website though.
Incidentally prog, I don't understand what you mean in your first sentence, or even to whom it's addressed.
poor positivism: "X is/isn't this and it belongs/doesn't belong here"
(X = art/film/music/music videos/vegetables/etc.)
