David Bowie "Little Fat Man" (Dir: Ricky Gervais)
Bowie back to Ziggy Stardust standards.
Amusing, but it's hardly a music video, it's a clip from Extras.
Close enough for me. Thanks for bringing that to my attention.
Odd to see them together, as I've often thought Gervais reminded me of Bowie in certain expressions.
Has anyone posted Ricky's 80's new wave videos yet? www.youtube.com www.youtube.com
Monkeyman, don't you think that this can't qualify as a music clip? Semantics would say it does. i.e. it is video. that has music on it.
If a video is part of an overall performance can't it exist as a seperate entity? All the music videos of the songs released from Daft Punk's album Discovery were sections from the film 'Interstellar 5555'. Are they not valid clips?
I know MV directors hate being forced to use cinematic footage when a single is released from a film soundtrack, but to say that this disqualifies their efforts as music videos is absurd.
I'm playing devils advocate as i don't sincerely believe this qualifies as a music video, however it is a billiant performance piece by one of the greatest 'performers' of the last century and something that would interest the global audience of this blog.
i really liked it and wondered where it was going. i think it is well done. bowie is still dope....
