Can the collective brain of Antville think of any promos that have animated comic strips? (Sebastian Telliers "broadway" is the only one i can think of). Thanks.

Clarlotte Hatherley "Bastardo" (dir. Edgar Wright) is more "photo case book" but has comic sections.
