Ike Reilly Assassination - Whatever Happened to the Girl in Me?

drinking, driving, white men and guns make me really comfortable
reminds me of my childhood. although the continuous pointing of guns at the camera makes me think about hunting safety classes... this is a video dick chaney could get behind (and I recommend getting behind him, in front of him is a VERY dangerous place.)
the right in america is so wrong on so many things, including gun control. but beer, guns, and cars are just plain fun (and all legal). drinking and driving is obviously a bad thing, but in a field with a bunch of friends - you've entered into a social contract that concerns no one but those around.
p.s thanks for the blanket statement about white men. substitute "white men" with any other racial descriptive, and you'd be considered a bigot.
my comment is rooted in what has happened in the united states. seeing drunk men with guns in what looks like the country doesnt make me comfortable. its just not what i know or understand. if it offends, sorry. im not a biggot. perhaps my comment makes you uncomfortable because you dont want to be reminded of your whiteness.
i think we're on the same page as to the (poor) direction and leadership in this country. Probably also about the state of race relations in the us. i have no problem with my "whiteness", i didn't pick my parents any differently than you did.
generalities about any group of people will have exemplars in both the affirmative and the negative. most agree that these blanket statements, or stereotypes, have a negative impact on society. It was in that was my sensibilities were offended by your remark - i just wanted to point out that stereotypes cut in all directions.
blanket statements about white people aside - I do have to say that this pervasive idea that the right are wrong about gun control has been bothering me. I am pretty liberal, but I am also anti gun-control. Right now, I see so many of our civil liberties being given up so freely, that I think we should slow down and discuss these things properly before deciding who is right or wrong. Being pro gun-control is such a knee-jerk liberal stance that I question whether it makes sense if we actually look at the facts (which no-one really does). I could be wrong, but that would mean that Hitler - who was pro gun-control - was right.
