Local actors were hired for the mass scenes and members of Shakira's fan club in Mexico, so called Shakpulins were also invited to participate. The role of the boxer was played by Patrick Nwamu "Punchin' Pat" who is a professional boxer. The video was also co-directed by Shakira.
