Unsane "Scrape" - directed by Thomas Campbell
Hailed as a groundbreaking fusion of song and image back in 1996, Unsane's "Scrape" reinvented people's idea of what a music video could truly BE, collecting literally tens of awards even to this day. Warning: you may never be able to watch music videos the same way again, always unconsciously comparing them to "Scrape" and sadly knowing they will never reach that wonderful, beautiful pinnacle.

:) Classic from the Alternative Nation. Campbell directed a very-cool Super-8 video album for Tommy Guerrero - info
I'm not sure what's so "groundbreaking" about showing guys wiping out on skateboards in 1996 when the Beastie Boys did this in "Time For Livin'" in 1992. Am I wrong here?
"groundbreaking" cybin,I think it was a typo and t-rex actually meant 'Bonebreaking' I bet sum ov those featured in this clip r limping still
It woz with sum relief I watched the skateboarder finally succeed in riding his deck along that handrail, in the clip's closing frames! Makes u wonder where Jackass got their ideas from don't it!
I remember this video! Awful song; retarded-looking band, but lotsa cool skate footage. Anyone who had seen a skate video had seen dozens of these wipe-out montages; only groundbreaking thing is that it got a lot of MTV play.
how much did Thomas Campbell shoot? I was under the impression all these skate video scenes were acquired material.
Yeah I was joking.
hey, i know this is an old post, but thanks for the video link. It comes up high on Google for Thomas Campbell videos. I never knew about it.
FWIW, I know that most of the East Coast footage is from Dan Wolfe (www.danwolfe.tv), and was really current around 1996.
And re: Jackass, Bam Margera is in this video; He jumps off a high ledge, over a sidewalk and into the street.
