Excellent conceit, although the execution could be a little cleaner.
A song of this length needs more than one trope to carry it through. A pixellated ubermensch sticking it in the honeypot of whomever he happens across was, the chauvanist in me will admit, more than a bit funny the first time I saw it. Transporting the pro(an?)tagonist to different states for more of the same isn't all that revealing and drags on far too long.
My suggestion might be to play up the classic arcade aspects of the aesthetic. Create something that will damage the character (why else present a life bar?) or have a 2nd player jump in. Just don't allow it to drag on for so long.
I'm neither here nor there on the political commentary. I think its a bit overt, but it works in places (such as the final shot). Again, however, if you have a clear message to express, you can certainly think of more than one way in which you can express it.
