Nine Inch Nails 'Survivalism' - dir.:?

The first single from new album 'Year Zero'. Not a masterpiece but I guess it's cool when you are into this whole 'Year Zero' mythology and promotion. The band distributed it via USB sticks left in toilets during their concert in London yesterday. Looks like it should in 2022.

While not executed to perfection, the video is highly respectable in the decisions it makes and what it attempts to convey.
lo mov here or here; hi mov here or here. (via del.icio.us/lcarneiro & ninwiki)
After the sluggish ol'Fraglie it's good to hear Rez retain some of the pop sensibilities of 'Teeth'. He has a pop voice - it suits him.
Once you start caring about what's going in the narrative the video becomes more enjoyable. It's simply tedious camerawork if you don't - and a vague wonder about: 'Has Reznor ever worn a scarf in one of his videos before'. That said, I wish Clouser would return.
Also, NIN cancelled their gig at Wolves, recently, two hours before we were due to leave, so for that they can kiss my shiney HD arse. (New DVD looks great even though it's shot on Z1.)

Directed by Alex Lieu, Rob Sheridan & Trent Reznor.
