mirac - you might have fared better had you fleshed out (more examples, better links) a thesis (videos transcend tracks because...), rather than a mere everybody's-faves query.

No, I agree the vid's better than the song, by about half a mile. I was thinking a bit about it recently, and thought of a great song that had a crappy video, but otherwise, off the top of my head, all I can think of is Mew.
