this is the video for "Rose Colored" by the late, great band Jack Bauer.

The song is really pacy and fast, which is great, but in terms of the video, it doesn't reflect this. A good thing to of looked at as a resource would of been Tank Girl - the movie. The animated/ comic book style intro works great with stills, that moving in and out and turn around. A lot more movement would of made this video better....

Do you know what... i got bored and didn't watch all of it. After watching the full video - bloody hell its is really good! Maybe you could of brought in the cool stuff earliar rather then the dull slide from comic frame to frame. We as directors have to capture the hearts and minds of our viewers, the first 30 seconds are so paramount in determninning whether a video is a success or not in terms of promotion.

I liked it, true the start is slow but gets better, i liked the comic style reminded me of the technic used on A Scanner Darkly

thanks for the feedback guys. i can see what you mean. i made it a couple years ago as my first music video and i never got around to 'youtubing' it.

i would have loved to have done more rotoscoping, but it was just so damn time-consuming. especially when i was in college with 18 credits...
