ghostcat - just a little bit.... dir. nick aldridge.
this is a music video i made for 'just a little bit...' by a band called ghostcat.
it was all shot with one camera by myself over 4 gigs and edited on final cut over 2 weekends and made for the cost of 4 dvcam tapes.
i had 15 minutes planning time before the first gig (how long it took me to walk there) and took the inspiration from an old movie poster book i'd read on the loo earlier on in the day!
love to know what you think...oh and the sync went out when i posted it. don't know why.
nick.
You have spirit but the band have more. A little too amateur on the camera work and editing for me to say anything good.......and the split screen is slick but whats it there for? Split screen is retrospective in its nature and this band are new wave punk.
I have to be honest and i say i stopped after about 1min 40 and i only got that far because the singer looks like my ex
hey man, just a little suggestion for your sync problem. try making your audio AAC in your compression. think you tube handles that better. Or host on Imeem, the quality is better...
thanks for your tip c-dub, i'll look into it. the master is perfect so its only happened since posting so think you must be right.
a-morphic i used split screen as its not a typical music video, but performance vid filmed over four gigs. i.e. its a retrospective of their first four gigs as a band...i also find performance vids a bit boring so tried to make it a bit different, even though i only had live footage to use. all fair points though.
