The Deadly Deaths - Bury It
This is my second music video (someone added the first one here). It's a live/animated video that grows from simple 2 colour patterns to a psychedelic end.
A high resolution quicktime version (720x404 h.264) can be downloaded from www.thedeadlydeaths.com/video/. There is also a blog that shows how the video was created.
Wow! I really liked this, simple but completely hypnotic and oddly beautiful... Great concept and execution!
LOVE IT. Great song.. simple, yet effective video. The processual blog on your site is interesting. Love the stream of consciousness approach.
bit of a rip-off grismer's death from above video isn't it? nicely done though.
Thanks. I'm not familiar with the death from above video however. The style isn't really that unique (initially I thought it was, and it was the best concept I could come up with using the limited amount of gear that I had access to) - since I began posting clips I was working on on my blog I've had several people point out similar looking videos. There is even a similar video a few posts down (the one created using a lite brite).
For me, this video was really inspired by the low resolution animations of Kraftwerk (and several videos I've seen that used silhouettes in front of large screens). The initial version of this video also had a count down similar to the one Kraftwerk use for their song "Numbers" at their live shows.
What,s going on? DFA1979, Snowden, and now this? Let it go... videos.antville.org
more like the Snowden than death from above. death from above used a lite bright.....these use dots
I just checked out the Snowden link. It's kinda scary the similarity at the start (especially the boxes - but I guess they're a no-brainer when animating on a computer in low resolutions). I like the way that they've used the light so that you can actually make out the features of the band members.
Anyway, I've also been told that all I've done is rip-off an iPod commercial.... lol
