Pull Tiger Tail / Hurricanes // dir. Tim Allsop

Super slow motion. And yes, that eagle is real.
despite the obvious criticism of slo mo being played out, I actually liked this. It's gorgeous and fun to watch. Although I did think the performance in wides was a bit of a missed oppertunity.
curious to know what frame rate this is. photosonic?
Gratuitous use of slo-mo alert.
quite like the grade on it but ultimately it reeks of "hey guys, i got us one of them fancy, super-duper slo-mo cameras. Shit, what shall we do with it?" type videos...
Gratuitous is maybe the wrong word. It's just under exploited somehow. The slow-mo could have worked better if it had been cut with some really great high energy performance. Ultimatly it's the cut that lets it down because it lacks pace.
BUT...On a balance anything with a slow mo dog in it (that has a stretchy face) ROCKS. :) Geekwise it looks like between 360 and 500fps, but actually who cares. Check out that dog's face!!!
i'm glad people are pointing out the excessive use of slo-mo in videos... it's getting really old
formula: ^^^ You heard it hear first! :)
Yeah Kev, you'd only like this video if you like indie-rock.
Slow motion is fun to watch in most scenarios. It just offers so much info in a single, simple shot. I don't mind slow motion like this even if it is played out in general.
What I do mind is bad cutaways to a boring band that adds nothing to the narrative.
I'd much rather have watched these three guys running and having all sorts of flotsam and jetsam entering and leaving frame from no real source at all.
That would have been more interesting.
Far more interesting than a band of indie pretty boys in black.
whatever, i like the video! especially when jack throw the water balloon at himself, makes me laugh every time i see it!
