i was hoping for something more interesting from a lachapelle/winehouse collaboration, not necessarily better but there is nothing striking in this video, not even a single shot worth a second glance

I didn't really get what the concept was supposed to be. It's like bittersweet symphony but with musical theater extras pretending to vagrants and hookers. Even Winehouse looks bored,

         

A complete waste of time and money. Way to take one of the more buzz-worthy artists of the time (and a damn good song), pair her with an assumedly great visual director, then just crap all over it. LaChapelle just lazily riffs on his own "lets-have-them-walk-" video concept except with nothing remotely interesting going on. Boring performance. Zero concept. Failure.

         

what a waste of two creative talents. is it just me or does Amy Winehouse ALWAYS look bored in her performances? she is emotionless on stage, unfortunate. video = boring.

         

Yeah, a bit underwhelming in my book as well. What was the gag? That everyone in the clip has a penis except for Amy?

         

Wait, Amy doesn't have a penis? I'm not sure what surrounding your already decidedly masculine star with trannies does for her image.

Yeah, I kinda don't get it. No. Wait. I definitely don't get it. I guess I'm either trying too hard or am not famous enough. What did the treatment look like?

I know people are saying it's a waste of money, but to me it looks like outright embezzlement. A waste of money is spending 100,000 on a bathtub full of m+m's. What did they spend money on? Oh wait, meth and coke. Got it.

yeah, lets see the treatment and budget for this video. these comments are great... i agree with all of you... wtf?

Sometimes its a good technique to make people wait and wonder what they are supposed to be looking for/thinking... in this case, its a total flop.
