Question For Antville Community
Can anyone think of any music videos that are shot in a recording studo. Documenting the recording process with the artist etc? fly on wall et al?
Thanks
well the new "the Underdog" video by Spoon is kinda like that although it's fabricated, but still the idea.
One of my faves is Metallica "Nothing Else Matters"
But don't tempt me, there's way too many of those.
Mariah Carey and Boys II Men: One Sweet Day
you asked for it..
barbara streisand and celine dion www.youtube.com
who are you -- the who
Phoenix "Long Distance Call" The Hold Steady "Stuck Between Stations" sorta: Steriögram "Walkie Talkie Man" Percy Farm "Tales From The Sea" Cut Copy "Going Nowhere" Broken Social Scene "7/4 (Shoreline)"
Check out Warren Zevon's "Disorder in the House" Springsteen's lead during the recording is great to watch.
Stevie Nicks and Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers "Stop Dragging My Heart Around" is a great old studio video.
BEATLES - "HEY BULLDOG"!!! If you haven't seen it then definitely check it out.
New Order's "The Perfect Kiss"
WHO - "Who Are You" is incredible. Keith Moon was a sloppy drummer, but damn is he amazing to watch. This was filmed right before he died. CRANK THIS UP!!!
We Are The World!
There's a ton more, but I have to get back to work.
AEROSMITH had at least one if not many... oh the precious precious art of recording...
Feed The World (a) Feed The World (b)
Not a music video as such but a trailer for Paul McCartney's 'classical' album Ecce Cor Meum
You may also be interested in checking out the 1968 film "Sympathy for the Devil" by Jean-Luc Godard, featuring lots of footage of the Rolling Stones working out the track in the studio. Well worth the watch.
don't forget the recording studio clip to END ALL recording studio clips (even though it didn't really)
Eddie Murphy, "Party all the time"
He Andre,
Good luck with your video!
So long as you're mentioning We Are the World and Band Aid, you've got to mention Bad Cover Version by Pulp: www.youtube.com
