nicely done, but how many times is the clockwork orange aesthetic gonna be used in mvs??? blur, panic at the disco, are there more?...
To me this has a great 90's video feel somehow, i think becuase its reminiscent of the elaborate sets and costube design and ofocurse the sound.
I wonder if the massive sculptures / props were actually constructed or CGI - Any thoughts?
well done J&F
man, that's one fuggin huge studio!
very cool - some of the objects seemed def cg (mixer faders) while others were real - and better for it. nice overall... just felt like maybe the performance was missing a little something... like not as much energy as for 'Loveya'?
and what's with stealing your whole chorus from Supergrass, eh?
Is anyone else reminded of ?
And what's the betting their next video riffs on this film ?
Okay, the more I watch this the more I like it, so nostalgic of the 90's anthems of the past.
This video is such a step up in scale from what J&F have done previously.
Anyone know if So_Me was responsible for the illustrations in it? Looks like a slightly different style to what he does.
And was this shot in HD?
The likelyhood of this having been shot on HD is about 1,000,000 to 1.
Naked 100w lightbulbs would be a horrid, clipped, mess.
sharpiessharpessharp, loz et al:
no huge studio/ massive sculptures/ props.
Green screen?
Doesn't look like HD to me, either
This looks like video to me...
loz, re your comment on the 15th:
who stole WHICH whole chorus of supergrass?
Which chorus of which track?
hey cusso - as in the supergrass tune 'Pumping On Your Stereo', with a chorus that goes "can you hear me, pumping on your stereo" (or possibly "humping on your stereo", depending on what you think). it has practically the same tune too!
i wasn't meaning the video stole it... just the tune. as soon as i saw it written on the wall i thought it was a deliberate reference.
why so sure of green screen? some of it is, but reckon some of it is definitely a big ol' studio.
