Honky Chapeau
The new kind of style-biting.
.
Honestly 30f... This isn't a race thing. Claiming they are acting like white people is lame man. If you knew anything about skateboarding you would know there are some amazingly talented black skaters. Its not a white sport. The thing about skating is that its a multicultural sport. All the people I skated with were from all types of places. Didn't matter what you were. And as far as style. Tight pants? So you are saying black kids are getting out of their black clothes and into white clothes? Silly dude...
"In the Cool Kids clip there is even a rapper wearing post-modern skate inspired nuthugger jeans."
Your argument is about as air-tight as a sponge, but just a thought: Tight jeans were not inspired by skateboarding. Not even close. Skateboarding has not been a stylistic and cultural front-runner since Vision Street Wear sold out to the masses. It follows the trends; it doesn't set them. Blame Williamsburg hipsterism for the jeans if you want. And while you're at it, you might as well accuse Brooklyn of being too white.
Clearly, I am a massive racist.
You may not be a racist but you argument is pretty ignorant.
Its sounds like you think all black people dress alike and when you see a music video(possibly the closet interaction you have with a black person) that doesn't reinforce this, it's like the world got flipped upside down.
What is actually happening is that black people who don't fit "your stereotype" are getting seen more in hip hop because people are tired of 50 Cent and all that other garbage.
Black kids have been a part of skate/bmx culture in urban areas since it began.
Sorry to put you on blast but that post is just senseless.
