I would make fun. I would trash it. I would bemoan the state of music videos as an industry. But I am left utterly speechless. Is this an indication of how far we've fallen or only a sign that the mainstream no longer represents anything other than itself?
Postscript: The director should do the only honorable thing in this case and perform seppuku. It's really for all of us.

An true artist might be able to get away with doing more themselves since they understand the underpinnings of their art - they have an almost philosophical understanding of what it is they do.
Whereas, entertainers are pre-packaged and designed for maximum mainstream effect. Britney bought into her own hype and believed that selling records equaled artistry. She's probably never spent a single day breaking down her music to figure out why it works or a single moment thinking about the flow, structure, or grammar of a music video.
She's an entertainer without a team and boy does it show.

according to the directors website it was shot over two days, HA. i am guessing they sheduled two days because they knew britney wouldnt show up to one of them.
