Question about FX
Hey guys, just wondering if anyone knows what was done to the image for the new Emily Haines video 'Our Hell' that Jaron Albertin did. Is it x-ray or just a negative, and how was this accomplished? Here's the video if you want to check it again:
isn't it just a negative image over people that are wearing make-up that is selectively negative? So, white eyelashes, black liquid beer, etc.
It's a thermal camera. Big in the '80s for the "future surveillance" look. Remember that movie Blue Thunder? Or Tron?
You can select different output for displaying variances in heat. The B&W one is shown on the above page along with a few different colour versions. Used to be expensive. Not so much anymore.

X-rays. The cast and crew are all sterile now, but that's okay because this video is their baby.
More here - with some new site design tweakage..
The camera is made by Flir.
