ksubi "sign of the times" / john frusciante "dying song"
<a
watch MOV www.vimeo.com beautifully slow video / travelling artwork.
Hey Ksubi people I think you might be a little confused, this is a forum for music videos not self-promotion. Please do us a favour and respect the ethos of this board people are not very fond of virals around here. Cheers guys.
sorry but not from ksubi, just liked the song, didn't know it was a viral, i'm on vimeo. won't post you off again
Cool hand statue. What's it made out of?
this is not a viral! video virals are pretty much dead and buried BTW. as far as i know this is just rushes of said people carrying a sculpture with pretty awesome music - it was for an art exhibition in sydney. i don't know exactly what the hand is made from - some kind of synthetic it would seem - it was at burning man last year.
i'm not so sure about this one, what makes me fall and like it is that whatever visual piece someones uses with a Frusciante song it will win the audience or me, but in the end it has some really good shots, other just look like the traffic arriving to Burning Man or something, and there are some try-outs so much influenced by The Brown Bunny film just take a look at the trailer www.trendesombras.com (which both tracks used in this clip are original soundtrack from the Brown Bunny movie)
ps: vincent gallo should release the tons of films or video clips he has made for john frusciante, apparently they made like the whole To Record Water.. Lp video clips in one run, but only release this one: www.youtube.com
Ok so I look at your homepage and see that you are a filmmaker independent of Ksubi, my apologies for the knee jerk reaction I should have looked closer.
However if this is a music video how is it directed by a registered company who's website appears at the end.? Granted use of the word Viral may seem a stretch to some but when dealing with the likes of Ksubi and their penchant for self promotion I don’t think it’s entirely groundless.
I could understand this as a spec video for the Frusciante song by you as a filmmaker but with it "directed" by said registered company and with iconography that is linked to their self-promotion…
...I just start to draw conclusions as I think anyone would.
Agree with above and odamnation, totally reminded me of Brown Bunny, but I really liked it. It is just like watching continuous film rushes, the texture of the film and the music made it for me. So basic but it managed to linger in my head for some reason.
actually I only did the telecine on this vidbot.
