Duffy "Mercy" : Dir. Daniel Wolfe

60s lite-ent TV showcase with Northern Soul casino and (neo-mod!?) dancers bussed in by central casting. Oh, and then some surreal pyrotechnics.
This muddled video confirms that no-one has managed to put their finger on Duffy's appeal yet.
hardly, idiot.
I've never heard of Duffy before just watching this video, but I dig them based on this song. The video I could take or leave...minus the white-shirt burn victim. He can bounce on my lap, 3rd-degree burns and all.

I rest my case.
I like the moment at the end when one dancer wipes his brow...
frame: watch out for their next collaboration. appearances may deceive...
that's a bit cryptic for me prog
Must admit, have warmed to this (Mercy)
good things come to those...
U.S. version by Adria Petty: mov
Petty's version very interesting - sells the artist where Wolfe's sells the song (I've come to love the idea of Duffy on a pedestal in the latter btw, simultaneously venerating and incarcerating)
