Circle of Willis - "Archipelago" (Dir. Christopher Piazza)
Slow-burning music video for Circle of Willis' first single from the "Archipelago" EP. The video gives the illusion of the band playing from sunrise until sunset through wildly varied weather conditions -- all in about five minutes. Make sure to watch through to until the end, where things get really nuts.
someone must stop all the guitar murder. why do people destroy guitar's again?
It’s a good concept and very appropriate for the song but unfortunately for me the execution lets it down. It looks like you have tried to do two things a. shoot it nicley from different angles over different times of day and b. comp in some time-lapse and weather to build up the illusion of time passing and combining with the movements of the song. I think you succeeded in the former but not the latter. Some of the photography is actually quite nice and I think if you had locked down the camera a bit more and just gone for the slow burn with building tension and the odd bit of real non mucked about with time-lapse it would have been far better. Sorry but the comping just doesn’t cut it, its badly done and looks way out of place with the real footage. Otherwise god on ya for trying.
