Q: RES Mag
Extremely curious to find out what happened to the RES Media Group
Anyone aware?
Also curious if it is legal run off with people's subscription money in such a way.
it folded around Dec of 2006. :(
Ditto on the subscription money, I only got one issue. I still miss it though.
jon wells went on to do flux.net and justin bolognino (festival coordinator) went on to do learned evolution and still works with ecclectic method and such. jeremy boxer is still everyone else i know either moved, got married, or started on other things.
i believe you can find them on LinkedIn.com if you query RES Media Group (and if they're on it).
if anyone is aware of anything else that sort of does the same thing (mags, dvd's, film fests, etc.) please let me in on it! i miss having something like RES too.
In 2000 RMG merged with Palm Pictures, I left in July 2006. I founded RESFEST in the basement of my SF apartment in 1996 and it was something I was always passionate about. It is a shame how it ended, but I always say change is good.
As Joselito/pressrecord said everyone has gone onto various things.
My new company Flux is producing festivals, film screenings and we've recently launched an editorial component to our web site.
was thinking about this recently and have been looking around online. i too only just resubscribed just before the last issue and was wondering recently what happened to the publication. am curious how many other people this happened to and if anyone had any success in getting their money back?
