Sonny J "Enfant Terrible" // Dir: Diamond Dogs

Better MOV.
it's a hedonistic version of tod browning's freaks.
I almost stopped watching after the first 10 seconds, but I'm glad I stuck with it.
French circus madness at its best (not that I can think of anything off the top of my head with which to compare it).
awful editing, but the rest is great! (plenty o' circus here, here, here, here, and, erm, here. v'ville cat, anyone?)
Couldn't see this song getting any other video. Well done.
There was a lot to enjoy about this one. The cinematography made me think of Wings of Desire, probably for the most part due to the circus them. To the director/producer: If you would like, upload this to vimeo and I will post it to my music video channel there at vimeo.com/musicvideos .
Yeah I'd ignore any faults, good enuff on all counts!
I love Diane Arbus too. You can really feel her photographic style in this video. Love the midget playing guitar.
Total Diane Arbus!
Totally Arbus? why not Weegee , who was often in subject, as Arbus as Arbus!
The Arbus reference here seems to hinge more on the observation of the twins featured. Jus' pointing out, n' not accusing Diane of plagiarism or anything low - early in her career, she spent time organizing Weegee's archives! Camera-enhanced voyeurism, was a accusation they both were no strangers to
There is the perception Weegee invented the ambulance chasing tabloid crime photo. Shame 'cause it often overshadows the rest of his catalog population of Freaks Drunks Dwarfs Trannies Strippers Showgirls Carney folk etc!
Still 'nuff of the history lecture. The visual look of this clip also owes more to Weegee's habit n' technique of favoring the strong contrasts of white and black which give it the impact it has, unlike Diane who would use exposure for shadow detail to suit!
