'The fall' - Tarsem

It's not a promo, but since it's got Tarsem, David Fincher and Spike Jonze on the credit role, i thought i might fit the ville...
the movie premièred September 9th, 2006 at the Toronto Film Festival, but remained unsold as distributors didn't want to touch the project. (out may 2008)
I can't wait to see this. It looks gorgeous, and my sort of story.
Official movie site here. (I think the trailer on the official site might be a bit older than the one linked to above)
I saw it at the berlinale 2007. great images, incredible broadband of locations. they travelled the whole world obviously. it has a great premise but looses the plot at some point. in the end it get´s a bit random. it would have been even greater if it would touch one emotionally which it doesn´t. it feels more like a really big experimental piece. although it would be worth being released it in the cinema since it feels just different to the "usual" hollywood stuff.
hmmm. interesting, started off thinking it looked like the worst kind of elongated advert, and then by the end totally wanted to see it. and the LA times review just makes me want to see it more... esp if 'the cell' is anything to go by.
"The Cell" was such a visionary film, I can't wait to see this one.
Fincher nailed it "People are much more sophisticated about taking in visual information today. I'm not convinced that everyone has to have all their food pre-chewed for them" I would apply that to the current state of music videos as well.
I saw this at a "Secret Screening" without knowing anything about it. It's very entertaining. Pan's Labyrinth meets the Princess Bride meets the Wizard of Oz, all decked out in flamboyant Tarsem outfits.
The title is terrible though... two letter difference from The Cell and captures none of the essence of the film.
I remember watching the behind-the-scenes feature on "The Cell" and someone describing Fincher as a "dreamer" and Tarsem as a "shopper". Fincher, who knows exactly what he wants and goes to great lengths to execute everything as he sees it in comparison to Tarsem who pick and chooses from a pool of ideas offered up by his team of collaborators. Regardless, they are both incredibly masterful in their own right.
I was told that Tarsem has been filming this for years; whenever he gets sent on location to do something, he flies his feature cast & crew out at the end of it and shoots a couple scenes there.
I like big experimental pieces, so I'll probably like this. Besides, it looks like PRINCESS BRIDE meets HERO meets CABINET OF DR CALIGARI.
jesus christ, can't wait
I have work on the special effect of this movie at french company Duboi. It was long time ago (more than 1 year). Happy that it is finally out.
there's some romanek there...
By the way "Bedtime Story" is on my top 5 videos ever
I don't think the film works in any way, but you can grab the torrent of it here:
