Well... It is British... and it does have people playing poker in it... and one of the band wears a crombie but... it's really a homage to a certain type/era of crime films- mostly French, mostly 60's and 70's and mostly Melville. Some Suzuki too... I guess it was supposed to be akin to a cutdown of an imaginary British film from that era.
