Fire Organ 1 by: Lucidhouse & Adriano Dodici
Dirty, spontaneous approach, result of 4 live recordings, post edited and mashed fairly randomly, so as the outcome retains a frenetic life of it's own. My aim was to have an angry, choppy, strobing rhythm, that induces a bit of discomfort. You could say it has a multi threaded, abstract narrative with subliminal undertones . First Screening of piece was as part of The Narrative Lab. Friday 4th April 2008 @ The Tate Britain.

vj alert.
Does that mean live free-form performances are no good?
no, it doesn't - it just means they're likely to garner flak rather than fans, round here. not quite sure why, to be honest. i guess it's just a too much of a genre to itself.
Ok, kind've know what you mean. Personally I don't like to being associated with the “vj” label, it does have a lot of negative connotations, besides sounding crap and second hand. Yep theres a lot of poor veejay work out there, but also some really hot stuff ...I see it as completion of the full circle in audio visuals ... The piano man used to accompany silent movies and now DJ's, musicians are supported by silent visuals... it's a pretty exhiting art form.
