MGMT, "Electric Feel" (dir. Ray Tintori?)
previously: interactive version. looks like tintori alright...
i want to touch some of that electric feel.....looks delicious
There is an understated elegance to the choreography of this gathering. At first I thought it a touch limp but on second f=viewing the timing and edit work to make the most of the set design and animated interludes.
ha, and they beat weezer to chris thrash...!
I really dig it, but it feels like another director's interpretation of the ideas from the first video. That is to say, I wouldn't have guessed it was Ray Tinori, but rather a director influenced by the Time to Pretend video and putting his own touch on it. Will be interesting to see what the rest of his work will look like.
Also, it's hard to tell from youtube if this was a green-screen or made from a set. Either way, nicely done.
And- can they do that w/ the Showbiz pizza bears? Those characters are still copyrighted. I smell a lawsuit.
I enjoyed it even if it was just a bunch of neo hippy kids dancing in a jungle set. If this was ray tintori it seems like somebody (maybe it was himself) has tried to commercialise his ideas. Eg glamour shots of the two main band members, band playing instruments and half naked kids dancing = party time in the jungle? Anyway like i said i enjoyed it but i think i liked the 'time to pretend' video better. P.S Great classic pop song!
i don't get it.
chris thrash/rock-afire documentary.
oh, and: the rock-afire cameo in this video was commissioned by bid(?!)
