We Were The States – “Up Your Sleeve”
Rhythmically driven with heavy fluctuating bass lines leading the way, the music video for “Up Your Sleeve” by We Were States takes you on a electrifying ride to a dingy club filled with beautiful women, some sketchy characters and enough vendetta to satisfy the even most lustful.

too many youtube posts, where are the .movs?
@saddy whats wrong with youtube. its fine. get over it.
dafuck's up w/ this site right now?
Good point brigittaj, however viewing these videos isn't merely just a hobby of mine.
I do a lot of research in finding new artists/videos for ALT TV (a music television station in New Zealand) and I only read the posts and watch the videos that have .mov attachments to them. I can 'get over it' easy as, but posting youtube links just wastes my time, simply because they're not up to a standard fit for broadcast.
There is nothing more frustrating to me than watching a good music video on youtube and not having the means to get that video up to a standard high enough for national broadcast, hence I don't watch them, hence why I said "where are the .movs?"
However, sometimes I check the youtube posts and If I see a video that I really like on youtube I will usually email the production company/artist/manager/record label for a copy of it. However, being all the way down in the bottom of the pacific, this isn't always possible and most record labels/whatever send back "sure we'll send it down," but nothing ever comes in the mail. Besides, with the music industry as tight as it is who is really going to mail a dvd/beta copy of a music video halfway around the world to a television station near the bottom of the Pacific Ocean. I'll tell you.. noone.
And with the recent spike in posts here (take this fanatic new media dude) I've also noticed that there is an increasing amount of youtube posts but .mov attachments remain constant. To me this smacks of laziness, but of course I am viewing this from my perspective, not the general population here.
I'm sure you understand that this site serves as a vehicle to promote artists and cool videos that you would never have a chance to see otherwise. Alot of these videos are put on ALT TV that no other channel in New Zealand would ever play nor hear of as more often than not they don't have distribution down here and aren't record label priorities. This provides us with a point of difference and gives priority not to the record labels themselves but the artists. If you have a good video and a good song, you've got a 100% chance we'll play it if we get a quality copy of it.
So my post was a mere request to those directors/production companies/labels whatever and whoever posts here to try and post .movs. New Zealand audiences are very accepting of new artists and you never know big interest in these artists from NZ could perhaps prompt a tour here in the future if said artists caught wind of a growing fan base.
Wishful thinking I know, but music videos are promotional videos and if you want to promote your band further than a youtube video and to a national audience then all I am requesting is if you have the means to post a good version of it as well then I am all eyes and ears.
So that's what is wrong with youtube posts and that's why I posted.
By the way, I haven't watched the video above.
