However, it's a blatant ripoff of the Living Things 'Bom Bom Bom' video, that miss Floria Sigismondi did back in 2005. I'm going to go with no. Black and white performance mixed with civil rights stock footage in a collage of 60s-inspired graphics. There are similarities, but Solage's concept is obviously tied into the theme of her song. Both videos are very well done.

Its like asserting a valid case can be made for Tilly and the Wall's Pot Kettle Black being a blatant rip of Kylie's Your Disco Needs You! Thank god no ones referenced MIA's Galang into the equation!

And I do wonder how, since they are both presented here in astounding kack u2b compression, one can make the "as it was done so beautifully the first time by Floria" comment? I can only assume that the commenter is relying solely on their envious photographic memory

I forgive you all tho' since my u2b trawl has now acquainted me with such gems as Teenagersintokyo's 'Very Vampyr' and Dead Disco's - Automatic as well as an array of traxs accompanying the slideshows of 'SceneQueen' hotties like Kiki Kannibal, Dakota Rose n' Barbie Brutal!

I love Floria's work, but she did not create this look from scratch. She ripped it off from art work and other videos, commercials, and films that came before this, and there is nothing wrong with that. Who posted this story anyway, her rep or her intern? What a ridiculously slanted "story". GET OVER IT. Many videos borrow inspiration from one another, and there is not one director out there who is not guilty of borrowing inspiration. These are different videos with a few shots that have a similar look. They are both great, stop the stupid hating. If you are going to post things like this, you have about 10,000 other videos, films, and commercials, you should give the same treatment. yawn

The post work on both videos was done by the same Flame artist: Mark Szumski at Click3x in NY, which might account for their similarities.
