Lil Wayne "A Milli" Dir: Gil Green
YES!!!! Weezy is the only dude keeping hip hop interesting. Sorry about the watermark
My pic for worst edit of the year. All in all the video is rather soft considering the song. It's somewhat of a mismatch. I do give points to anyone who takes a shit mid promo though, ha.
this better be continued... Im really hoping this was made during down time on the actual shot. something isnt right here
This was a standalone video made during the downtime of the shoot for the other video. It's actually kind of an interesting concept. I would rather it not have had any edits at all, except maybe a few jump cuts to time it out, however they did shoot this only last tuesdsay, so not to bad for a spur of the moment video.
so this must be what those labels mean when they say "Can you also get some viral content while you're shooting the video"
thats no art - its like most of the other hiphop videos - boring and stereotypic
You antvillers are hard to please on the hip hop videos. I don't really see how this is stereotypical. It's probably a pretty accurate depiction of Wayne before he does a video shoot. For those who haven't been tuned into hip hop for the past 6 months "A milli" has been a monster track and pretty much everyone and their mother has tried to freestyle on it. The fact that he portrays it as just "some shit" he spits casually on the way to a real shoot is a clever move.
the edit is wack though
what is everyone's issue with the edit?
LAZIO i agree wholeheartedly ! i love this track + video and Antville posters are just whiny old folks.
This video rocks!
whiny old folks? how old are you? 12?
lol
sorry but i find this this video is lame and the music also, one of these tracks sounds and looks like each other - there is nothing creative or new in...
Actually ORPHEUS im 24. problem?
im only 4 years older and not a whiny old folk. problem?
28 isn't too old to start learning to appreciate things that you don't understand...
lol
it has nothing to do with understanding?! my opinion is that this video is lame, im quiet sure that you also don´t like some vids which i like?!
This was apparently inspired by Andy Bruntel's No Age vid - link
kev, i think you mean inspired by the oxford comma vid.
"What else hath FNMTV wroght on mainstream culture? Well remember when Vampire Weekend and Lil’ Wayne were on together? Lil’ Wayne liked the Vampire Weekend “Oxford Comma” video so much when he was forced to sit down, watch it and record his feedback for the MTV cameras that he decided to make his concept video for “A Mille” a one-shot video like theirs that continued from when he got off the tour bus at the end of his FNMTV performance."
