THE VINES: He's A Rocker(DIR:Justin Kurzel + Ben Briand)
Really great camera work and lighting. The dogs crack me up.
Formulaic, commercial and boring. That goes for the song and video.
For some reason I like this clip. Its big and commercial but I'm liking the imbalance and meaningless of it all. The dancing girls, kissing couples and dog show people are all kind of trite but I think the imperfect sweeping one shot coverage and blunt/dramatic and strong lighting make up for it. Although the intro really drags its refreshing to see on a commercial clip and I dig that girl walking past in her underwear.
i love it because its big and its commercial and it doesnt look like its been shot with a cellphone. nice how the lighting/ color filter keeps chaning, and the dancers, and the mise en scene. and i love the funny guy at the start. the music of rock rulz, hell yeah.
le: my only regret is not being able to see any cameltoe like in that 'pretty fly' video
Aargh! Why the nonsequited opening minute of faux-docu-chat? It's like trying to watch two perfectly good music videos on telly at the same time by flicking from one to the other halfway through. Crass.
Kansas hits it on the head, this is a turd the rest of you are talking bollox
