that scene with prodigy sitting down above is killer. a touch sam brownish even.
Usually I would go with Hype Williams with anything, but Kahn's Quiet Storm i consider to be one of the best hip hop videos of all time, although underated. It made a big influence on me when i saw it 10 years ago, and it still does today. The Hype remix.....not so much, although it is the more popular video.
Actually, the interesting comparison is with Hype's It's Mine, which was released just before his remix. People say music video and hip hop are dead (whatever, isn't everything dead?), but I don't think their story is finished.
First video: awesome.
Second video: meh in retrospect. Worked for 1998.
