Funny how this is just like that Dr. Dog vid yesterday
A cut above the rest. For a hip hop video it's nice to see something like this. Points earned for shot construction and the seamless intergration of the special effects.
It's pretty hard to do something diferent with hip hop, since everything's either a parody or materialism. It does well by steering away from these areas and is also technically impressive.
Never did I feel like it took me out of the video, every shot was constructed and not wasted. I've seen a couple videos with this motif, but this is the best one because it doesn't feel gimmicky...and they don't cheat by cutting everytime the head is passed.
The Dr Dog vid is good too, but in that video the guy looks like he's walking on treadmill while the head is performing on it's own, here you can't separate the performance from the body of the song. I hope it plays well and people see this, it's a great vid.
