Accusations of plagiarism, were rife against the MV producer? Director? Mr. PD

Blown out of all proportions by ‘netizens’ with nuffin better to do, it came under heavy fire with the claim that it copied Christina Aguilera's Candyman! The dubious accusation hinged on a number of released teaser images of U-Go-Girl.

Howeva, the soda-pop bar scene parodies a Burger King commercial, not Aguilera’s “Candy Man” scene.

The teaser photo of Hyori in a low cleavage nurse outfit was deemed to be overly scandalous and over the top in Korea promptin’ an online petition for Hyori to re-film the clip! In the event the shot isn’t even in the video clip!

The whole controversy, may well have been engineered by Mr PD, coz, it certainly has done no harm to the single, which went straight to No 1

Its not the first time Lee has been involved in controversy over her music. The songwriters of Britney Spears' single "Do Somethin'" accused the "Get Ya" songwriters of plagiarism. (Lee did not contribute to the song.)
