The director said that the story of "Private Lily" tells the indoctrination of a young American girl in the army. weird vid, like it.

The video was pretty self explanatory. The contrast of a young, nubile girl against large, strong men, and the chaos/explosions of war.
I thought the stark difference was pretty affecting.
