le: whewre's comment nr #3????????????/
I have seen the sound foley concept used in two music videos quite recently on this site. In fact this particular use of the concept is centuries old. Nortons references always seem a little too obvious. Oh well as per usual with Norton its definitely not a new idea but atleast in this case its well done.
the split screens are quite effective. nice edit
eat a fat juicy dick, Kansas. This is fantastic.
Regardless of where the idea generated, his execution is always flawless. Or if not flawless, totally earnest and wholly fun.
Dear daisychain: I think you will find I am one of many on this site who over the last 12 months has brought up the validity and originality of a lot of Norton's videos. His references and ideas are often painfully obvious.
Also I would really like to pull you up on your statement that Norton's 'execution is always flawless.' His execution is at best sloppy. Its actually a major part of his style. If you fail to recognise this than you are not a true fan of his work.
Not really sure what you're saying here, KansASS, Are you a true fan or a true hater? It's so great that he has people like you to police him. That must be very fulfilling spending all your time trying to point out the unoriginality of others while you never create anything yourself.
I still stand by my statement that his execution of the idea (original or purloined) is always really fun. And that's what matters.
Also none of this argument can get you away from the fact that you should really eat a dick. Seriously.
really cool little vid. like the use of real sounds to create a clip. this one here does a similar thing: www.gustavfriends.com/wordpress/movie-a-monday-morning-mood/
